Dr Heidi Ferasin

BVSc CertVC MRCVS

RCVS Advanced Practitioner in Veterinary Cardiology

Heidi graduated from the University of Bristol (UK) in 2005. After several years working in mixed general practice, she decided to concentrate on pursuing her career in cardiology. Heidi is an experienced cardiologist and has been an RCVS Advanced Practitioner in Veterinary Cardiology since 2015, having held the RCVS Certificate in Veterinary Cardiology since 2010.

Heidi is co-director of Specialist Veterinary Cardiology Consultancy and Hampshire Veterinary Cardiology. She is also a co-founder of ecg4vets, a veterinary telecardiology service specialising in ECG and Holter services.

Heidi has participated in many international research projects relating to both canine and feline cardiology, with numerous publications in these fields, and is a regular invited speaker, both within the UK and internationally. She is actively involved in the teaching and mentoring of post-graduate veterinary surgeons and veterinary nurses. She is passionate about all areas of cardiology; however, she has a strong interest in congenital defects, the investigation of falling and fainting and interventional cardiology.

When not at work, Heidi enjoys spending time with her husband (and fellow cardiologist) Luca, their two children, and their dog and cat. She loves cooking, music, outdoor countryside activities and visiting new places.
